The Beaver's 1st Cool Aid of 2018.  John Lisle, LA Lloyd and Drew take some calls and award the Echo Dot to Jessica; Lloyd's neighbor Rick check's in and somehow keeps popping in throughout the show.  A discussion of an Instant-Pot gift Lloyd gave to his wife leads to driverless vehicles making pot deliveries.  Drew talks about Dirty 6th Street in Austin and how the city has neglected it.  Trey calls in and asks for us to talk about tax reform which somehow leads to why celebrities are not Presidential material.  Just when you think they have a legit show, it all goes downhill and "masking" is back in the conversation.  Happy New Year Everybody!

A Perfect Circle's Billy Howerdel was the first guest co-host of 2018 on the LA Lloyd Rock Countdown.  Billy talked about writing new music with Maynard James Keenan, what fans can expect on the new album, the previous Fall 2017 tour where they played two new tracks including their single The Doomed and finally why the band is not allowing cell phones to record video at their live shows.

One of my favorite guests to interview is Corey Taylor from Stone Sour and Slipknot.  This interview was part of the LA Lloyd Rock Countdown Thanksgiving special that aired November 25-26, 2017 on many US radio stations.
Corey tells us the origin of the latest Stone Sour album "Hydrograd" along with other great segments discussing his work with The You Rock Foundation, being a Rock Dad, Song #3 and Rose Red Violent Blue, and finally his book America 51 and doing the audiobook version.
It's an interview that every Stone Sour and Slipknot fan should hear.

It was the biggest rock tour of 2017. Metallica's Lars Ulrich sat down with LA Lloyd backstage at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX on June 14, 2017.
This interview was used on the 17th anniversary of the nationally syndicated LA Lloyd Rock Countdown July 1-2, 2017.
The last time LA Lloyd had seen Metallica on a tour of this magnitude was the show they played at the Rose Bowl in Los Angesles previously in 1992. Move forward 25 years and it was as if time stood still.
Topics include remaining true to your sound and staying relevant, getting new fans with each album release, how each member's personality is reflected through the instrument they play, Lars hosting a show called "It's Electric" on Beats 1 radio and finally Sir Lars...yes he gets knighted and has a funny story about that event.

After five years, John Lisle, LA Lloyd and Drew Bennett return to pick up with the weekly Beaver Cool Aid Podcast.
